Beginning youth chess players are welcome to join our Chess Program, where they will be taught basic strategies and skills to improve their chess game and meet new friends. Instructors are East Brunswick High School Youth Council members and are accompanied by a Youth Council Supervisor.

The Department of Recreation and Parks is following the guidance of the CDC, NJDOH and Governor’s Executive Orders in providing these activities to our participants. Please be aware that these guidelines are subject to change at any time.

Wellness Series: National Fitness Month “Jazzercise” Class with Jazzercise East Brunswick!

Teens, get ready to move and dance! Jazzercise East Brunswick is hosting a teen only class from 5:30-6:30pm at the Community Arts Center. This FREE class is designed to get you up and moving. Did you know that May is National Fitness Month?? Fitness is important for both your physical and mental health, so grab your sneakers, and let’s get jazzy!

East Brunswick residents only. For participants aged 13-18 years old. Sneakers are required to participate. Please bring a yoga mat and hand weights. Please bring a bottle of water with you to class.

Coach Vince brings the intensity of his Semper Fit Fitness class to kids! A fun and exciting way for kids to learn how to stay fit and healthy while working out. Using his experiences in the Marine Corps and combining it with the knowledge he gained through his youth physical fitness certification to give an upbeat class that strengthens and motivates!

Youth and adult classes will run simultaneous so you can both enjoy getting fit together.

Participants must bring their own equipment, towels, water bottles, etc. and should not share with others.
